Beautiful morning on the water. Fishing wasn’t too strong, but there were fish to be caught. There was minimal wind to start the day, but the wind gradually got stronger throughout the morning. After 12:00 the wind was a strong and solid 10+ mph into your face, which made casting extremely difficult. The fish didn’t seem to key on any one pattern. I was able to catch one or two on several different midge patterns and a pheasant tail nymph. Used zebra midges in black, brown, purple, blue dun, along with midge patterns of P&P, Rootbeer Midge, Ruby Midge, Green Diamond Midge, and even tried the pheasant tail nymph.
I was also to get out after work on Thursday to fish for a couple hours. Ruby Midge did most of the work for the evening. Was able to get a little top water action, but wasn’t able to land him, LDR.
Until next time.
Happy Fishing and Stay Trout Tough!
