Great fishing April 24-26th

What a great few days of fishing!  Caught some nice numbers at Roaring River and Beaver Tailwaters White River this long weekend.

Took Friday off from work and hit Roaring River after the morning rains. The water was high and the visibility was only 6 inches. Makes it tough when you are relying on some sight fishing to help you out. The fish loved my Pink Butterfly of Death which is alot like a wholly bugger but tied with ostrich hurl on a jig hook and slotted tungsten bead. Fishing was also good with Olive Whooly Bugger and Rootbeer Midge.

Saturday morning hit the Beaver Tailwaters. Fishing was fair, a little slower than previous two weeks. Fish lovd the Rootbeer Midge. The wind was tough all today with a steady 10+ mph wind with some pretty good gusts.

Sunday went back to Roaring River because the generation schedule didn’t work to fish Beaver Tailwaters. Fishing was good in Rootbeer Midge, Choclate Midge, Orange Crackle Back and a little dry fly action.

Between 12+ hours of fishing and 6 hours of picking and digging yard work. I’m pretty wore out tonight. Have to get back to corporate America tomorrow and think and dream about fishing.

Happy Fishing and Stay Trout Tough!
