Tying up some new flies using Daiichi 1130 size 18 hooks. This is to replace the flies I tied using Mustard and Saber brand hooks that kept bending. You can really tell the Daiichi is a much firmer hook in the vice. With the other hooks there was a lot of movement as I applied the thread and I would retighten the vice to make sure it didn’t come out. With Daiichi hooks there is very little movement in the hook as you tie. I hope they work well in the water and with a fish on the end.
